Beijing Huasheng Taitong Media Investment Company Limited (Huasheng Media) was set up in 2004. It mainly engages in the production and distribution of premium television drama series. Under the leadership of the Chinese famous producer Meng Fanyao, it has the capability of whole operation from early investment production to later promotion and distribution. In the fundamental principle of creating premium television drama series, Huasheng Media draws extensive materials from reality and shoots television drama series of positive theme and distinctive characters with strong artistic appeal, occupying the dominant position in the market of television drama series. So far it has formed the production scale of hundreds of television drama series and continues to expand investment in it.

Since 2004, the Company has successively produced and distributed television drama series with high rating and numerous industry awards such as Qiao’s Grand Courtyard,TiandiMinxin, Destiny, Mazu, The Wild Duck, The Legend of a Hong’an General and The Great Eastern Battlefield. And all these television drama series have been broadcast on the domestic mainstream satellite television channels and CCTV channels.

The awards are as follows:

Qiao’s Grand Courtyard won many awards such as “Golden Bird Prize (Best Series Drama)”, “China Television Drama Golden Eagle Award”, “China Television Drama Flying Apsaras Award”, “Best Television Series — First Class Award” and “Five ‘One’ Project Award”;

TiandiMinxinwon “The Best Works Award” and “China Television Drama Flying Apsaras Award”;

Destiny won “China Television Drama Flying Apsaras Award” and “The Best Works Award”. As the first Television Drama for exhibition tour on the great undertakings over the 30 years after China’s reform and opening up, it had the highest rating among the programmes of CCTV 8;

The Wild Duck won “China Television Drama Flying Apsaras Award”;

The Legend of a Hong’an General won “the Excellent Television Drama Flying Apsaras Award”. It is a “phenomenal” excellent work with the value of leading the creation of film and television in the new era.

The Great Eastern Battlefield won “the First Screenwriting Award” and “the First-class Support Award of Excellent Play and Script”.

The Adoption won “Golden Angels Candidate Award for Outstanding Chinese Television Drama of the Chinese American Film Festival”.

Qiao’s Grand Courtyard won “China Television Drama Golden Eagle Award” and its record of rating in CCTV 1 has not been broken till now;

TiandiMinxinwon “The Best Works Award” and “China Television Drama Flying Apsaras Award”;

The production and distribution of The Great Eastern Battlefield was led by Tian Jin, the deputy director of State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television. It is a high-quality work promoted by publicity departments of 13 provinces in China with Major Projects Construction Headquarters Office and TV Drama Department. It reproduces the grand historical event of China’s resistance to Japanese invaders as the main great eastern battlefield. To date it remains the largest- scale production among this type of domestic television dramas.
